Job 17:13-14

13If I hope for aSheol as bmy house,
if I make my bed in darkness,
14if I say to the pit, ‘You are my father,’
and to the worm, ‘My mother,’ or ‘My sister,’

Job 24:19-20

19Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters;
so does cSheol those who have sinned.
20The womb forgets them;
the worm finds them sweet;
they are dno longer remembered,
so wickedness is broken like ea tree.’

Isaiah 66:24

24“And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For ftheir worm shall not die, gtheir fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”

Mark 9:43-48

43 hAnd if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to ihell,
Greek Gehenna; also verse 47
to kthe unquenchable fire.
Some manuscripts add verses 44 and 46 (which are identical with verse 48)
45 mAnd if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into nhell. 47 oAnd if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into phell, 48where qtheir worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’
