Job 20:19-23

19For he has crushed and abandoned the poor;
he has seized a house that he did not build.
20 Because he aknew no bcontentment in his belly,
che will not let anything in which he delights escape him.
21There was nothing left after he had eaten;
therefore his prosperity will not endure.
22In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in distress;
the hand of everyone in misery will come against him.

Warning to the Rich

1Come now, myou rich, weep and howl for the nmiseries that are coming upon you. 2 oYour riches have rotted and pyour garments are moth-eaten. 3Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. qYou have laid up treasure rin the last days. 4Behold, sthe wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and tthe cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of uthe Lord of hosts. 5 vYou have lived on the earth in luxury and win self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in xa day of slaughter.
