Job 20:22-28

22In the fullness of his sufficiency he will be in distress;
the hand of everyone in misery will come against him.
23To fill his belly to the full,

24 cHe will flee from an iron weapon;
da bronze arrow will strike ehim through.
25It fis drawn forth and comes out of his body;
gthe glittering point comes out of his hgallbladder;
iterrors come upon him.
26Utter darkness is laid up for his treasures;
ja fire not fanned will devour him;
what is left in his tent will be consumed.
27 kThe heavens will reveal his iniquity,
and the earth will rise up against him.
28The possessions of his house will be carried away,
dragged off in the day of God’s

Job 22:15-20

15Will you keep to the old way
that wicked men have trod?
16They were snatched away mbefore their time;
their foundation was washed away.
17They said to God, nDepart from us,’
and oWhat can the Almighty do to us?’

but qthe counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19 rThe righteous see it and are glad;
the innocent one smocks at them,
20saying, ‘Surely our adversaries are cut off,

Psalms 49:16-17
