Job 20:5-9

5 athat the exulting of the wicked is short,
and the joy of the godless but for a moment?
6 bThough his height mount up to the heavens,
and his head reach to the clouds,
7he will perish forever like his own cdung;
those who have seen him will say, dWhere is he?’
8He will fly away like ea dream and not be found;
he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
9 fThe eye that saw him will see him no more,
nor will his place any more behold him.

Daniel 4:32-33

32 nand you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. And you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, ountil you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.” 33Immediately the word was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar. pHe was driven from among men and ate grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair grew as long as eagles’ feathers, and his nails were like birds’ claws.

Matthew 2:16-20

Herod Kills the Children

16Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, became furious, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time that he had ascertained from the wise men. 17 qThen was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah:

18 r“A voice was heard in Ramah,
weeping and loud lamentation,
Rachel weeping for her children;
she refused to be comforted, because they sare no more.”

The Return to Nazareth

19But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20saying, “Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for tthose who sought the child’s life are dead.”
