Job 21:14-15

14 They say to God, ^a‘Depart from us!
We do not desire the knowledge of your ways.
15 ^bWhat is the Almighty, that we should serve him?
And what ^cprofit do we get if we pray to him?’

Psalms 73:8-9

8 They scoff and ^dspeak with malice;
loftily they threaten oppression.
9 They set their mouths against the heavens,
and their tongue struts through the earth.

Psalms 74:18

18 ^eRemember this, O Lord, how the enemy scoffs,
and ^fa foolish people reviles your name.

Psalms 74:22-23

22 Arise, O God, ^gdefend your cause;
^hremember how the foolish scoff at you all the day!
23 Do not forget the clamor of your foes,
ⁱthe uproar of those who rise against you, which goes up continually!

Isaiah 37:23
