13But he is unchangeable,
Or one
and bwho can turn him back?
What he cdesires, that he does.

Jeremiah 7:6-7

6if you ddo not oppress the sojourner, the fatherless, or the widow, eor shed innocent blood in this place, fand if you do not go after other gods to your own harm, 7 gthen I will let you dwell in this place, hin the land that I gave of old to your fathers forever.

Jeremiah 21:8-10

8“And to this people you shall say: iThus says the Lord: Behold, jI set before you the way of life and the way of death. 9He who stays in this city shall die kby the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, but he who goes out and lsurrenders to the Chaldeans who are besieging you shall live mand shall have his life as a prize of war. 10For nI have set my face against this city for harm and onot for good, declares the Lord: pit shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.’

Jeremiah 27:12

12To qZedekiah king of Judah I spoke in like manner: rBring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and sserve him and his people and live.

Jeremiah 27:17

17 tDo not listen to them; userve the king of Babylon and live. Why should this city vbecome a desolation?

Jeremiah 38:2

2Thus says the Lord: wHe who stays in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence, xbut he who goes out to the Chaldeans shall live. He shall have his life as a prize of war, and live.

Jeremiah 39:3

3Then all ythe officials of the king of Babylon came zand sat in the middle gate: Nergal-sar-ezer of Samgar, Nebu-sar-sekim aathe Rab-saris, Nergal-sar-ezer the Rab-mag, with all the rest of the officers of the king of Babylon.
