Job 24:13-17

13 “There are those who rebel ^aagainst the light,
who are not acquainted with its ways,
and do not stay in its paths.
14 The murderer rises before it is light,
that he ^bmay kill the poor and needy,
and in the night he is like a thief.
15 The eye of the adulterer also waits for ^cthe twilight,
saying, ‘No ^deye will see me’;
and he veils his face.
16 In the dark they ^edig through houses;
by day they shut themselves up;
they do not know the light.
17 For ^fdeep darkness is morning to all of them;
for they are friends with the terrors of deep darkness.

Ezekiel 8:7-8

7 And he brought me to the entrance of the court, and when I looked, behold, there was a hole in the wall. 8 Then he said to me, “Son of man, ^gdig in the wall.” So I dug in the wall, and behold, there was an entrance.

John 3:19-20

19 ^hAnd this is the judgment: ⁱthe light has come into the world, and ^jpeople loved the darkness rather than the light because ^ktheir works were evil. 20 ^lFor everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, ^mlest his works should be exposed.
