Jeremiah 16:4-7

4 dThey shall die of deadly diseases. eThey shall not be lamented, nor shall they be buried. fThey shall be as dung on the surface of the ground. gThey shall perish by the sword and by famine, hand their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the air and for the beasts of the earth.

5“For thus says the Lord: iDo not enter the house of mourning, or go to lament or grieve for them, for I have taken away my peace from this people, my steadfast love and mercy, declares the Lord. 6Both great and small shall die in this land. jThey shall not be buried, and no one shall lament for them or kcut himself lor make himself bald for them. 7No one shall mbreak bread for the mourner, to comfort him for the dead, nor shall anyone give him the cup of consolation to drink for his father or his mother.

Jeremiah 47:3

3At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his stallions,
nat the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of their wheels,
the fathers olook not back to their children,
so feeble are their hands,

Ezekiel 24:16-17

16 pSon of man, behold, I am about to take the delight of your eyes away from you at a stroke; yet you shall not mourn or weep, nor shall your tears run down. 17Sigh, but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead. qBind on your turban, and rput your shoes on your feet; do not cover your lips, snor eat the bread of men.”

Amos 6:9-10

9And tif ten men remain in one house, they shall die. 10And when one’s relative, uthe one who anoints him for burial, shall take him up to bring the bones out of the house, and shall say to him who is in the innermost parts of the house, “Is there still anyone with you?” he shall say, “No”; and he shall say, vSilence! We must not mention the name of the Lord.”
