9 aWill God hear his cry
when distress comes upon him?

Isaiah 1:14-15

14Your bnew moons and your appointed feasts
my soul hates;
they have become a burden to me;
I am weary of bearing them.
15When you cspread out your hands,
I will hide my eyes from you;
deven though you make many prayers,
I will not listen;
eyour hands are full of blood.

Jeremiah 11:11

11Therefore, thus says the Lord, Behold, I am bringing disaster upon them that they cannot escape. fThough they cry to me, I will not listen to them.

Ezekiel 8:18

18Therefore gI will act in wrath. hMy eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. iAnd though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.”

Micah 3:4

4 jThen they will cry to the Lord,
but he will not answer them;

because they have made their deeds evil.

Zechariah 8:13

13And as lyou have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, mso will I save you, and nyou shall be a blessing. oFear not, but plet your hands be strong.”
