Job 29:12-13

12because I adelivered the poor who cried for help,
and the fatherless who had none to help him.
13 bThe blessing of him who was cabout to perish came upon me,
and I caused dthe widow’s heart to sing for joy.

Job 31:15-20

15Did enot he who made me in the womb make him?
And did not one fashion us in the womb?

Isaiah 1:16-17

16 qWash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes;
rcease to do evil,
17learn to do good;
sseek justice,
correct oppression;
tbring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow’s cause.

Isaiah 58:6-7

6 “Is not this the fast that I choose:
uto loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the straps vof the yoke,
to let the oppressed
Or bruised
go free,
and to break every yoke?
7Is it not xto share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
yand not to hide yourself from your own flesh?

Matthew 25:34-46

34Then zthe King will say to aathose on his right, ‘Come, you abwho are blessed by my Father, acinherit adthe kingdom aeprepared for you affrom the foundation of the world. 35For agI was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you ahgave me drink, aiI was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 ajI was naked and you clothed me, akI was sick and you alvisited me, amI was in prison and you came to me.’ 37Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40And anthe King will answer them, aoTruly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these apmy brothers,

41Then he will say to those on his left, arDepart from me, you ascursed, into atthe eternal fire prepared for authe devil and his angels. 42For avI was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, awyou did not do it to me.’ 46And these will go away axinto eternal punishment, but the righteous ayinto azeternal life.”
