Job 29:12-17

12because I adelivered the poor who cried for help,
and the fatherless who had none to help him.
13 bThe blessing of him who was cabout to perish came upon me,
and I caused dthe widow’s heart to sing for joy.
14I eput on righteousness, and it clothed me;
my justice was like a robe and fa turban.
15I was geyes to the blind
and feet to the lame.
16I was a father to the needy,
and I searched out hthe cause of him whom I did not know.
17I ibroke jthe fangs of the unrighteous
and made him drop his prey from his teeth.

Psalms 9:12

12For he who kavenges blood is mindful of them;
he ldoes not forget the cry of the afflicted.

Psalms 10:14-15

14But you do see, for you mnote mischief and vexation,
that you may take it into your hands;
to you the helpless ncommits himself;
you have been othe helper of the fatherless.
15 pBreak the arm of the wicked and evildoer;
qcall his wickedness to account till you find none.

Psalms 72:4

4May he defend the cause of the poor of the people,
give deliverance to the children of the needy,
and crush the oppressor!

Psalms 72:12-14

12 For he delivers rthe needy when he calls,
the poor and him who has no helper.
13He has pity on the weak and the needy,
and saves the lives of the needy.
14From oppression and violence he redeems their life,
and sprecious is their blood in his sight.

3 aaGive justice to abthe weak and the fatherless;
acmaintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 adRescue the weak and the needy;
aedeliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

Proverbs 22:22-23

22 afDo not rob the poor, because he is poor,
or agcrush the afflicted at ahthe gate,
23for aithe Lord will plead their cause
and rob of life those who rob them.
