Job 3:10-16

10 because it did not shut the doors of my mother’s womb,
nor hide trouble from my eyes.
11 “Why ^adid I not die at birth,
come out from the womb and expire?
12 Why did ^bthe knees receive me?
Or why the breasts, that I should nurse?
13 For then I would have lain down and been quiet;
I would have slept; then I would have been at rest,
14 with kings and counselors of the earth
who ^crebuilt ruins for themselves,
15 or with princes who had gold,
who filled their houses with silver.
16 Or why was I not as a hidden ^dstillborn child,
as infants who never see the light?

Job 10:18-19

18 ^e“Why did you bring me out from the womb?
Would that I had died before any eye had seen me
19 ^fand were as though I had not been,
carried from the womb to the grave.

Ecclesiastes 6:3-5

3 If a man fathers a hundred children and lives many years, so that ^gthe days of his years are many, but his soul is not satisfied with life’s ^hgood things, and he also has no ⁱburial, I say that ^ja stillborn child is better off than he. 4 For it comes in vanity and goes in darkness, and in darkness its name is covered. 5 Moreover, it has not ^kseen the sun or known anything, yet it finds ^lrest rather than he.

Jeremiah 20:17-18

17 ^mbecause he did not kill me in the womb;
so my mother would have been my grave,
and her womb forever great.
18 ⁿWhy did I come out from the womb
^oto see toil and sorrow,
and spend my days in shame?

Matthew 24:19

19 And ^palas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!

Luke 23:29

29 For behold, ^qthe days are coming when they will say, ^r‘Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’
