Job 31:9-12

9 If my heart has been enticed toward a woman,
and I have alain in wait at my neighbor’s door,
10then let my wife bgrind for another,
and let others cbow down on her.
11For that would be a heinous crime;
that would be an iniquity dto be punished by the judges;
12for that would be a fire ethat consumes as far as Abaddon,
and it would burn to the root all my increase.

Hosea 7:4-7

4 fThey are all adulterers;
they are like a heated oven
whose baker ceases to stir the fire,
from the kneading of the dough
until it is leavened.
5On the day of gour king, the princes
became sick with the heat of wine;
he stretched out his hand with mockers.
6For with hearts like an oven hthey approach their intrigue;
all night their anger smolders;
in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.
7All of them are hot as an oven,
and they devour their rulers.
All itheir kings jhave fallen,
and none of them calls upon me.

James 3:5

5So also the tongue is a small member, yet kit boasts of great things.

How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
