Job 33:19-21

19 “Man is also rebuked with pain on his bed
and with continual strife in his ^abones,
20 so that his ^blife loathes bread,
and his appetite ^cthe choicest food.
21 His flesh is so wasted away that it cannot be seen,
and his bones that were not seen ^dstick out.

Psalms 6:2-6

2 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing;
^eheal me, O Lord, ^ffor my bones are troubled.
3 My ^gsoul also is greatly troubled.
But you, O Lord— ^hhow long?
4 Turn, O Lord, deliver my life;
save me for the sake of your steadfast love.
5 For in ⁱdeath there is no remembrance of you;
in Sheol who will give you praise?
6 I am ^jweary with my ^kmoaning;
every night I flood my bed with tears;
I drench my couch with my weeping.

Psalms 38:2-8

2 For your ^larrows have sunk into me,
and your hand ^mhas come down on me.
3 There is ⁿno soundness in my flesh
because of your indignation;
there is no health in my ^obones
because of my sin.
4 For my ^piniquities have gone over my head;
like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.
5 My wounds stink and fester
because of my foolishness,
6 I am ^qutterly bowed down and ^rprostrate;
all the day I ^sgo about mourning.
7 For my sides are filled with burning,
and there is ^tno soundness in my flesh.
8 I am feeble and crushed;
I ^ugroan because of the tumult of my heart.
