Job 36:8-13

8And if they are abound in chains
and caught in the cords of affliction,
9then he declares to them their work
and their transgressions, that they are bbehaving arrogantly.
10He copens their ears to instruction
and commands that they dreturn from iniquity.
11 eIf they listen and serve him,
they fcomplete their days in prosperity,
and their years in pleasantness.
12But if they do not listen, they gperish by the sword
and die hwithout knowledge.
13 “The igodless in heart cherish anger;
they do not cry for help when he jbinds them.

Isaiah 1:5

5 Why will you still be kstruck down?
Why will you lcontinue to rebel?
The whole head is sick,
and the whole heart faint.

Isaiah 42:24-25

24Who gave up Jacob to the looter,
and Israel to the plunderers?
Was it not the Lord, against whom we have sinned,
in whose ways they would not walk,

25So he poured on him the heat of his anger
and the might of battle;

Jeremiah 5:3

3O Lord, do not your eyes look for truth?

but they refused to take correction.
