The Lord Answers Job

1 Then the Lord ^aanswered Job out of the whirlwind and said:

Psalms 50:3-4

3 Our God comes; he ^bdoes not keep silence; ^{▼▼Or May our God come, and not keep silence}
before him is a devouring ^dfire,
around him a mighty tempest.
4 ^eHe calls to the heavens above
and to the earth, that he may judge his people:

A Kingdom That Cannot Be Shaken

18 For you have not come to ^fwhat may be touched, a blazing fire and darkness and gloom and a tempest 19 and ^gthe sound of a trumpet and a voice whose words ^hmade the hearers beg that no further messages be spoken to them. 20 For they could not endure the order that was given, ⁱ“If even a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned.”

2 Peter 3:10-12

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, ^owhat sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 ^pwaiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and ^qthe heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
