Psalms 107:25-29

25For he bcommanded and craised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;
their courage dmelted away in their evil plight;
27they reeled and estaggered like drunken men
and fwere at their witsend.
Hebrew  and all their wisdom was swallowed up

28 hThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
29He imade the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Jeremiah 47:6-7

6 oAh, sword of the Lord!
How long till you are quiet?
Put yourself into your scabbard;
rest and be still!
7How can it
Septuagint, Vulgate; Hebrew you
be quiet
qwhen the Lord has given it a charge?
Against rAshkelon and against the seashore
she has appointed it.”

Ezekiel 14:17-21

17Or tif I bring a sword upon that land and say, Let a sword pass through the land, uand I cut off from it man and beast, 18 vthough these three men were in it, as I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they alone would be delivered.

19Or wif I send a pestilence into that land and pour out my wrath upon it with blood, to cut off from it man and beast, 20even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, declares the Lord God, they would deliver neither son nor daughter. They would deliver but their own lives by their righteousness.

21For thus says the Lord God: How much more xwhen I send upon Jerusalem my four disastrous acts of judgment, ysword, zfamine, aawild beasts, and abpestilence, to cut off from it man and beast!
