Job 4:8-11

8As I have seen, those who aplow iniquity
and sow trouble reap the same.
9By bthe breath of God they perish,
and by cthe blast of his anger they are consumed.
10The roar of the lion, the voice of the fierce lion,
dthe teeth of the young lions are broken.
11The strong lion perishes for lack of prey,
and the cubs of the lioness are scattered.

Job 5:3-5

3 eI have seen the fool taking root,
but suddenly I cursed his dwelling.
4His children are ffar from safety;
they are crushed in gthe gate,
and there is no one to deliver them.
5The hungry eat his harvest,
and he takes it even out of thorns,
The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain

and the thirsty pant
Aquila, Symmachus, Syriac, Vulgate; Hebrew could be read as  and the snare pants
after his
Hebrew their
wealth.

Job 8:3-6

3 kDoes God pervert justice?
Or does the Almighty pervert the right?
4If your lchildren have sinned against him,
he has delivered them into the hand of their transgression.
5If you will seek God
and mplead with the Almighty for mercy,
6if you are pure and upright,
surely then he will nrouse himself for you
and orestore your rightful habitation.

Job 15:20-35

20The wicked man writhes in pain all his days,
through all the pyears that are laid up for qthe ruthless.
21 rDreadful sounds are in his ears;
in sprosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
22He does not believe that he will return out of darkness,
and he is marked for the sword.
23He twanders abroad for bread, saying, ‘Where is it?’
He knows that a day of darkness is ready at his hand;
24distress and anguish terrify him;
they uprevail against him, like a king ready for battle.
25Because he has stretched out his hand against God
and defies the Almighty,
26 vrunning wstubbornly against him
with a thickly bossed shield;
27because he has xcovered his face with his fat
and gathered fat upon his waist
28and has lived in desolate cities,
in houses that none should inhabit,
which were ready to become heaps of ruins;
29he will not be rich, and his wealth will not endure,
nor will his possessions spread over the earth;
Or  nor will his produce bend down to the earth

30he will not depart from darkness;
the flame will dry up his shoots,
and by zthe breath of his mouth he will depart.
31Let him not aatrust in emptiness, deceiving himself,
for emptiness will be his payment.
32It will be paid in full abbefore his time,
and his branch will not be green.
33He will shake off his unripe grape like the vine,
and cast off his blossom like the olive tree.
34For acthe company of the godless is barren,
and adfire consumes the tents of bribery.
35They aeconceive trouble and give birth to evil,
and their afwomb prepares deceit.”

Job 20:5

5 agthat the exulting of the wicked is short,
and the joy of the godless but for a moment?

Job 20:29

29 ahThis is the wicked man’s portion from God,
aithe heritage decreed for him by God.”

Luke 5:22

22When Jesus ajperceived their thoughts, he answered them, Why do you question in your hearts?
