4 Behold, I am aof small account; what shall I answer you?

5I have spoken conce, and I will not answer;
dtwice, but I will proceed no further.”

Job 42:1-6

Job’s Confession and Repentance

1Then Job answered the Lord and said:

2 “I know that you can edo all things,
and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 fWho is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’
Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,
things gtoo wonderful for me, which I did not know.
4Hear, and I will speak;
hI will question you, and you make it known to me.’
5I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear,
but now my eye sees you;
6therefore I despise myself,
and repent
Or  and am comforted
in jdust and ashes.”

Psalms 32:3-5

3 For when I kept silent, my kbones wasted away
through my lgroaning all day long.
4For day and night your mhand was heavy upon me;
my strength was dried up

5 I oacknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I pwill confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.  Selah

Psalms 66:3

3Say to God, qHow awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power that your enemies rcome cringing to you.

Psalms 68:30

30Rebuke sthe beasts that dwell among the reeds,
the herd of tbulls with the calves of the peoples.
uTrample underfoot those who lust after tribute;
scatter the peoples who delight in war.

Jeremiah 13:18
