Simon the Magician Believes

9But there was a man named Simon, cwho had previously practiced magic in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, dsaying that he himself was somebody great. 10They all paid attention to him, from the least to the greatest, saying, e“This man is the power of God that is called fGreat.” 11And they paid attention to him because for a long time he had gamazed them with his magic. 12But when hthey believed Philip as he preached good news iabout the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, jthey were baptized, both men and women.

Acts 13:8-12

8But Elymas the kmagician (for that is the meaning of his name) lopposed them, seeking to turn mthe proconsul away from the faith. 9But Saul, who was also called Paul, nfilled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him 10and said, “You oson of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and pvillainy, will you not stop qmaking crooked rthe straight paths of the Lord? 11And now, behold, sthe hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking tpeople to lead him by the hand. 12Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at uthe teaching of the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 2:8

8And then vthe lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus wwill kill with xthe breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by ythe appearance of his coming.

2 Timothy 3:8-9

8Just as zJannes and Jambres aaopposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, abmen corrupted in mind and acdisqualified regarding the faith. 9But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, adas was that of those two men.
