Job 5:12-13

12He afrustrates the devices of the crafty,
so that their hands achieve no success.
13He bcatches the wise in their own craftiness,
and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end.

Isaiah 19:3

3and the spirit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out,
and I will confound
Or  I will swallow up
their dcounsel;
and they will inquire of the idols and the sorcerers,
and ethe mediums and the necromancers;

and makes their knowledge foolish,

Isaiah 47:12-14

12 gStand fast in your enchantments
and your many sorceries,
with which you have labored from your youth;
perhaps you may be able to succeed;
perhaps you may inspire terror.
13You are wearied with your many counsels;
let them stand forth and save you,
hthose who divide the heavens,
who gaze at the stars,
who at the new moons make known
what shall come upon you.
14 Behold, ithey are like stubble;
jthe fire consumes them;
they cannot deliver themselves
from the power of the flame.
No coal for warming oneself is this,
no fire to sit before!

Daniel 2:2

2Then the king commanded that kthe magicians, lthe enchanters, the msorcerers, and nthe Chaldeans be summoned to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and ostood before the king.

Daniel 2:10-11

10 pThe Chaldeans answered the king and said, “There is not a man on earth who can meet the king’s demand, for no great and powerful king has asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or qChaldean. 11The thing that the king asks is difficult, and no one can show it to the king except rthe gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.”

Daniel 5:7-8

7 sThe king called loudly to bring in tthe enchanters, the uChaldeans, and vthe astrologers. The king declared
Aramaic answered and said; also verse 10
to the wise men of Babylon, xWhoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck and yshall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”
8Then all the king’s wise men came in, but zthey could not read the writing or make known to the king the interpretation.
