Job 5:17

17 Behold, ablessed is the one whom God reproves;
therefore bdespise not the discipline of the cAlmighty.

Psalms 119:67

67 dBefore I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I keep your word.

Psalms 119:71

71It is egood for me that I was afflicted,
that I might learn your statutes.

Proverbs 3:11

11 fMy son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline
or be weary of his reproof,

1 Corinthians 11:32

32But when we are judged by the Lord, gwe are disciplined
Or  when we are judged we are being disciplined by the Lord
so that we may not be icondemned along with the world.

Hebrews 12:5-11

5And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?

jMy son, kdo not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
6For lthe Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”
7It is for discipline that you have to endure. mGod is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8If you are left without discipline, nin which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to othe Father of spirits pand live? 10For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, qthat we may share his holiness. 11 rFor the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields sthe peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
