Job 6:29

29 aPlease turn; let no injustice be done.
Turn now; my vindication is at stake.

Job 10:2

2I will say to God, Do not bcondemn me;
let me know why you ccontend against me.

Job 10:7

7although you dknow that I am not guilty,
and there is enone to deliver out of your hand?

Job 13:15

15 fThough he slay me, I will ghope in him;
Or Behold, he will slay me; I have no hope

yet I will iargue my ways to his face.

Job 23:7

7There an upright man could argue with him,
and I would be acquitted forever by my judge.

Job 27:4-6

4my lips will not speak jfalsehood,
and my tongue will not utter kdeceit.
5Far be it from me to say that you are right;
till I die I will not put away my lintegrity from me.
6I mhold fast my righteousness and will not let it go;
my heart does not nreproach me for any of my days.

Job 29:11-17

11When the ear heard, it called me blessed,
and when the eye saw, it approved,
12because I odelivered the poor who cried for help,
and the fatherless who had none to help him.
13 pThe blessing of him who was qabout to perish came upon me,
and I caused rthe widow’s heart to sing for joy.
14I sput on righteousness, and it clothed me;
my justice was like a robe and ta turban.
15I was ueyes to the blind
and feet to the lame.
16I was a father to the needy,
and I searched out vthe cause of him whom I did not know.
17I wbroke xthe fangs of the unrighteous
and made him drop his prey from his teeth.

Job 31

Job’s Final Appeal

1 “I have made a covenant with my yeyes;
how then could I gaze at a virgin?
2What would be zmy portion from God above
and aamy heritage from the Almighty on high?
3Is not calamity for the unrighteous,
and disaster for the workers of iniquity?
4 abDoes not he see my ways
and acnumber all my steps?
5 If I have walked with falsehood
and my foot has hastened to deceit;
6(Let me be adweighed in a just balance,
and let God know my integrity!)
7if my step has turned aside from the way
and aemy heart has gone after my eyes,
and if any afspot has stuck to my hands,
8then let me agsow, and another eat,
and let what grows for me
Or  let my descendants
be rooted out.
9 If my heart has been enticed toward a woman,
and I have ailain in wait at my neighbor’s door,
10then let my wife ajgrind for another,
and let others akbow down on her.
11For that would be a heinous crime;
that would be an iniquity alto be punished by the judges;
12for that would be a fire amthat consumes as far as Abaddon,
and it would burn to the root all my increase.
13 If I have rejected the cause of my manservant or my maidservant,
when they brought a complaint against me,
14what then shall I do when God rises up?
When he anmakes inquiry, what shall I answer him?
15Did aonot he who made me in the womb make him?
And did not one fashion us in the womb?
16 If I have apwithheld anything that the poor desired,
or have aqcaused the eyes of the widow to fail,
17or have eaten my morsel alone,
and the fatherless has not eaten of it
18(for from my youth the fatherless
Hebrew he
grew up with me as with a father,
and from my mother’s womb I guided the widow
Hebrew her
),
19if I have seen anyone atperish for aulack of clothing,
or the needy without avcovering,
20if his body has not awblessed me,
Hebrew  if his loins have not blessed me

and if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep,
21if I have raised my hand against aythe fatherless,
because I saw my help in azthe gate,
22then let my shoulder blade fall from my shoulder,
and let my arm be broken from its socket.
23For I was bain terror of calamity from God,
and I could not have faced his bbmajesty.
24 bc“If I have made gold my bdtrust
or called befine gold my confidence,
25if I have bfrejoiced because my wealth was abundant
or because bgmy hand had found much,
26 bhif I have looked at the sun
Hebrew  the light
when it shone,
or bjthe moon moving in splendor,
27and my heart has been secretly enticed,
and my mouth has kissed my hand,
28this also would be bkan iniquity to be punished by the judges,
for I would have been false to God above.
29 If I have blrejoiced at the ruin of him who hated me,
or exulted when evil overtook him
30( bmI have not let my mouth sin
by asking for his life with a curse),
31if the men of my tent have not said,
Who is there that has not been filled with his bnmeat?’
32( bothe sojourner has not lodged in the street;
I have opened my doors to the traveler),
33if I bphave concealed my transgressions bqas others do
Or  as Adam did

by hiding my iniquity in my heart,
34because I stood in great fear of bsthe multitude,
and the contempt of families terrified me,
so that I kept silence, and did not go out of doors
35Oh, that I had one to hear me!
(Here is my signature! Let the Almighty btanswer me!)
Oh, that I had buthe indictment written by my adversary!
36Surely I would carry it on my bvshoulder;
I would bwbind it on me as bxa crown;
37I would give him an account of all my steps;
like a prince I would approach him.
38 If my land has cried out against me
and its furrows have wept together,
39 byif I have eaten its yield without payment
and made its owners bzbreathe their last,
40let cathorns grow instead of wheat,
and foul weeds instead of barley.”
The words of Job are ended.

Job 33:9

9You say, ‘I am cbpure, without cctransgression;
I am clean, and there is no iniquity in me.
