Job 7:13-14

13 ^aWhen I say, ‘My bed will comfort me,
my couch will ease my complaint,’
14 then you scare me with dreams
and terrify me with visions,

Isaiah 22:4

4 Therefore I said:
“Look away from me;
^blet me weep bitter tears;
do not labor to comfort me
concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people.”

Jeremiah 6:24

24 We have heard the report of it;
^cour hands fall helpless;
anguish has taken hold of us,
^dpain as of a woman in labor.

Jeremiah 10:19-22

19 Woe is me because of my hurt!
^eMy wound is grievous.
But I said, “Truly this is an affliction,
and I must bear it.”
20 ^fMy tent is destroyed,
and all my cords are broken;
my children have gone from me,

there is no one to spread my tent again

Lamentations 1:16-17

16 “For these things ^oI weep;
my eyes flow with tears;
for ^pa comforter is far from me,
one to ^qrevive my spirit;
my children are desolate,
for the enemy has prevailed.”
17 ^rZion stretches out her hands,
but ^sthere is none to comfort her;
the Lord has commanded against Jacob
that his neighbors should be his foes;
Jerusalem has become
a filthy thing among them.

Daniel 10:16-17

16 And behold, ^tone in the likeness of the children of man ^utouched my lips. Then I opened my mouth and spoke. I said to him who stood before me, “O my lord, by reason of the vision pains have come upon me, and ^vI retain no strength. 17 How can my lord’s servant talk with my lord? For now no strength remains in me, and no breath is left in me.”
