21 Why do you not pardon my transgression
and take away my iniquity?
For now I shall lie in ^athe earth;
you will ^bseek me, ^cbut I shall not be.”

17 As for me, I am ^dpoor and needy,
but ^ethe Lord takes thought for me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
do not delay, O my God!

17 ^fHide not your face from your servant,
^gfor I am in distress; ^hmake haste to answer me.

1 O God, ^jthe nations have come into your ^kinheritance;
they have defiled your ^lholy temple;
they have ^mlaid Jerusalem in ruins.

2 ⁿDo not hide your face from me
in ^othe day of my distress!
^pIncline your ear to me;
^qanswer me speedily ^rin the day when I call!

7 ^sAnswer me quickly, O Lord!
^tMy spirit fails!
^uHide not your face from me,
^vlest I be like those who go down to the pit.
