22It is all one; therefore I say,

5Is not your evil abundant?
There is no end to your iniquities.

and you have swithheld bread from the hungry.
8 tThe man with power possessed the land,
and uthe favored man lived in it.
9You have vsent widows away empty,

and sudden terror overwhelms you,
11or zdarkness, so that you cannot see,
and a aaflood of abwater covers you.
12 “Is not God high in the heavens?
See acthe highest stars, how lofty they are!
13But you say, adWhat does God know?
Can he judge through aethe deep darkness?
14 afThick clouds veil him, so that he does not see,
and he walks on the vault of heaven.’
15Will you keep to the old way
that wicked men have trod?
16They were snatched away agbefore their time;
their foundation was washed away.
17They said to God, ahDepart from us,’
and aiWhat can the Almighty do to us?’

the innocent one ammocks at them,
20saying, ‘Surely our adversaries are cut off,
and what they left anthe fire has consumed.’
21 aoAgree with God, and apbe at peace;
thereby good will come to you.
22Receive instruction from aqhis mouth,
and arlay up his words in your heart.
23If you asreturn to the Almighty you will be atbuilt up;
if you auremove injustice far from your tents,
24if you lay gold in avthe dust,
and gold of awOphir among the stones of the torrent-bed,
25then the Almighty will be your gold
and your precious silver.
26For then you axwill delight yourself in the Almighty
and aylift up your face to God.
27You will azmake your prayer to him, and he will hear you,
and you will bapay your vows.
28You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you,
and bblight will shine on your ways.
29For when they are humbled you say, ‘It is because of pride’;
Or  you say, ‘It is exaltation’

but he saves bdthe lowly.
30He bedelivers even the one who is not innocent,
who will be delivered through bfthe cleanness of your hands.”

Psalms 73:13

13All in vain have I bgkept my heart clean
and bhwashed my hands in innocence.

Jeremiah 2:35

35you say, ‘I am innocent;
surely his anger has turned from me.’
