4 He is ^awise in heart and mighty in strength
—who has ^bhardened himself against him, and succeeded?—

7 and I have seen among ^cthe simple,
I have perceived among the youths,
a young man ^dlacking sense,

4 ^e“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
^fTo him who lacks sense she says,

16 ^g“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
And to him who lacks sense she says,

13 On the lips of him who has understanding, wisdom is found,
but ^ha rod is for the back of him who ⁱlacks sense.

12 Whoever ^jbelittles his neighbor lacks sense,
but a man of understanding remains silent.

21 ^kFolly is a joy to him who lacks sense,
but a man of understanding ^lwalks straight ahead.

18 One who lacks sense gives a pledge
and puts up security in the presence of his neighbor.
