Joel 2:30-31

30“And I will show awonders in the heavens and bon the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. 31 cThe sun shall be turned to darkness, dand the moon to blood, ebefore the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.

Zephaniah 1:14-18

14 fThe great day of the Lord is near,
near and hastening fast;
the sound of the day of the Lord is bitter;
gthe mighty man cries aloud there.
15 hA day of wrath is that day,
a day of distress and anguish,
a day of iruin and devastation,
ja day of darkness and gloom,
ka day of clouds and thick darkness,
16 la day of trumpet blast and battle cry
magainst the fortified cities
and against the lofty battlements.
17 nI will bring distress on mankind,
so that they shall walk olike the blind,
because they have sinned against the Lord;
ptheir blood shall be poured out like dust,
and their flesh qlike dung.
18 rNeither their silver nor their gold
shall be able to deliver them
on the day of the wrath of the Lord.
sIn the fire of his jealousy,
tall the earth shall be consumed;
ufor a full and sudden end
he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.
