Joel 3:16-21

16 aThe Lord roars from Zion,
and butters his voice from Jerusalem,
cand the heavens and the earth quake.
But the Lord is da refuge to his people,
a stronghold to the people of Israel.

The Glorious Future of Judah

17 e“So you shall know that I am the Lord your God,
fwho dwells in Zion, gmy holy mountain.
And Jerusalem shall be holy,
and hstrangers shall never again pass through it.
18 “And in that day
ithe mountains shall drip sweet wine,
and the hills shall flow with milk,
and jall the streambeds of Judah
shall flow with water;
kand a fountain shall come forth from the house of the Lord
and water the Valley of lShittim.
19 mEgypt shall become a desolation
and nEdom a desolate wilderness,
ofor the violence done to the people of Judah,
because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
20 pBut Judah shall be inhabited forever,
and Jerusalem to all generations.
21 qI will avenge their blood,
blood I have not avenged,
Or  I will acquit their bloodguilt that I have not acquitted

sfor the Lord dwells in Zion.”

Amos 9:11-15

The Restoration of Israel

11 “In that day tI will raise up
the booth of David that is fallen
and repair its breaches,
and raise up its ruins
and rebuild it as in the days of old,
12 uthat they may possess the remnant of Edom
and vall the nations who are called by my name,”
Hebrew; Septuagint (compare Acts 15:17)  that the remnant of mankind and all the nations who are called by my name may seek the Lord

declares the Lord who does this.
13 Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,
x“when the plowman shall overtake the reaper
and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed;
ythe mountains shall drip sweet wine,
and all the hills shall flow with it.
14 zI will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,
and aathey shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;
abthey shall plant vineyards and drink their wine,
and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 acI will plant them on their land,
adand they shall never again be uprooted
out of the land aethat I have given them,”

says the Lord your God.

Obadiah 17-21

17 afBut in Mount Zion there shall be those who escape,
and it shall be holy,
agand the house of Jacob shall possess their own possessions.
18 ahThe house of Jacob shall be a fire,
and the house of Joseph a flame,
and the house of Esau aistubble;
they shall burn them and consume them,
ajand there shall be no survivor for the house of Esau,

for the Lord has spoken.

Zechariah 12:3-10

3 atOn that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. auAll who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And avall the nations of the earth will gather against it. 4 awOn that day, declares the Lord, axI will strike every horse aywith panic, and its rider azwith madness. But for the sake of the house of Judah I will keep my eyes open, when I strike every horse of the peoples bawith blindness. 5Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’

6 bb“On that day I will make the clans of Judah bclike a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And bdthey shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while beJerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem.

7“And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah. 8 bfOn that day bgthe Lord will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that bhthe feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, bilike the angel of the Lord, going before them. 9 bjAnd on that day bkI will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Him Whom They Have Pierced

10“And blI will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and bmpleas for mercy, so that, bnwhen they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, bothey shall mourn for him, bpas one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

Romans 11:5-6

5So too at the present time there is bqa remnant, chosen by grace. 6 brBut if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Romans 11:15

15For if their rejection means bsthe reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

Romans 11:26

26And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,

bt“The Deliverer will come bufrom Zion,
he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”;
