4 “What are you to me, ^dO Tyre and Sidon, and all ^ethe regions of Philistia? Are you paying me back for something? If you are paying me back, ^fI will return your payment on your own head swiftly and speedily. 5 For ^gyou have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried my rich treasures into your temples. ^{▼▼Or palaces} 6 You have sold ⁱthe people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their own border. 7 Behold, I will stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and ^jI will return your payment on your own head. 8 I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the ^kSabeans, to a nation far away, for the Lord has spoken.”

and him who holds the scepter from ^xBeth-eden;

in the day of distress.

in the day of their calamity;

14 ^ayDo not stand at the crossroads
to cut off his fugitives;
do not hand over his survivors
in the day of distress.

The Day of the Lord Is Near

15 For ^azthe day of the Lord is near upon all the nations.
^baAs you have done, it shall be done to you;
your deeds shall return on your own head.
16 ^bbFor as you have drunk on ^bcmy holy mountain,
so all the nations shall drink continually;
they shall drink and swallow,
and shall be as though they had never been.

Micah 4:11
