John 1:38-39
38Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, a“What are you seeking?” And they said to him, b“Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” 39He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. ▼▼That is, about 4 p.m.
John 18:4-8
4Then Jesus, dknowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them, e“Whom do you seek?” 5They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” ▼▼Greek I am; also verses 6, 8
Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. 6 gWhen Jesus ▼▼Greek he
said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground. 7So he asked them again, i“Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.” 8Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go.”
