Ephesians 2:11-12

One in Christ

11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called ^fthe circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember ^gthat you were at that time separated from Christ, ^halienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to ⁱthe covenants of promise, ^jhaving no hope and without God in the world.

Hebrews 2:11-12

11 For ^khe who sanctifies and ^lthose who are sanctified ^mall have one source. ^{▼▼Greek all are of one} That is why he is not ashamed to call them ^obrothers, ^{▼▼Or brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verse 12} 12 saying,

in the midst of the ^rcongregation I will sing your praise.”
