John 12:37-41

37Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, 38 aso that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

bLord, who has believed what he heard from us,
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
39Therefore they ccould not believe. For again Isaiah said,

40 d“He has blinded their eyes
and ehardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”
41Isaiah said these things because fhe saw his glory and gspoke of him.

Acts 28:25-27

25And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: hThe Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:

26 i“‘Go to this people, and say,
j“You will indeed hear but never understand,
and you will indeed see but never perceive.”
27 kFor this people’s heart has grown dull,
and with their ears they can barely hear,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest they should see with their eyes
and hear with their ears
and understand with their heart
and lturn, and I would heal them.’

Romans 11:8-10

8as it is written,

mGod gave them a spirit of stupor,
neyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”
9And David says,

o“Let their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them;
10let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see,
and bend their backs forever.”
