John 12:5-6

5Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii
A  denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer

6He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and chaving charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it.

John 13:29

29Some thought that, dbecause Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need efor the feast,” or that he should fgive something to the poor.

28Let the thief no longer steal, but rather glet him labor, hdoing honest work with his own hands, so ithat he may have something to share with anyone in need.
