Jesus Foretells Peter’s Denial

36Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” aJesus answered him, Where I am going byou cannot follow me now, cbut you will follow afterward.” 37 dPeter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”
