14 You are ^amy friends ^bif you do what I command you.

Hebrews 11:7-8

7 By faith ^cNoah, being warned by God concerning ^devents as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of ^ethe righteousness that comes by faith.

8 By faith ^fAbraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place ^gthat he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:24-31

24 By faith Moses, when he was grown up, ^hrefused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 ⁱchoosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy ^jthe fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 ^kHe considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to ^lthe reward. 27 By faith he ^mleft Egypt, ⁿnot being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured ^oas seeing him who is invisible. 28 By faith ^phe kept the Passover and sprinkled the blood, so that the Destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

29 By faith ^qthe people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned. 30 By faith ^rthe walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days. 31 By faith ^sRahab the prostitute did not perish with those who were disobedient, because she ^thad given a friendly welcome to the spies.

James 2:21-26

21 ^uWas not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that ^vfaith was active along with his works, and faith was completed ^wby his works; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, ^x“Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a ^yfriend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 And in the same way was not also ^zRahab the prostitute justified by works ^aawhen she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
