John 15:18-19

The Hatred of the World

18 aIf the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 bIf you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because cyou are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Romans 1:28-32

28And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, dGod gave them up to ea debased mind to do fwhat ought not to be done. 29They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Though they know gGod’s righteous decree that those who practice such things hdeserve to die, they not only do them but igive approval to those who practice them.

Romans 3:9-18

No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jews
Greek  Are we
any better off?
Or at any disadvantage?
No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both lJews and mGreeks, are nunder sin,
10as it is written:

o“None is righteous, no, not one;
11no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
13 pTheir throat is qan open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
r“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14 sTheir mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 tTheir feet are swift to shed blood;
16in their paths are ruin and misery,
17and uthe way of peace they have not known.”
18 v“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Galatians 1:4

4 wwho gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present xevil age, according to the will of your God and Father,

Titus 3:3

3For zwe ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.

James 4:4

4 aaYou adulterous people!
Greek  You adulteresses!
Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? acTherefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

1 John 4:4-5

4Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for adhe who is in you is greater than aehe who is in the world. 5 afThey are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and agthe world listens to them.
