John 15:20

20Remember the word that I said to you: a‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, bthey will also persecute you. cIf they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

John 16:2-3

2 dThey will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, ethe hour is coming when fwhoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. 3And they will do these things gbecause they have not known the Father, nor me.

Acts 4:3-7

3And they arrested them and hput them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. 4But many of those who had heard the word believed, and ithe number of the men came to about five thousand.

Acts 5:17-19

The Apostles Arrested and Freed

17But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of nthe Sadducees), and filled with ojealousy 18they arrested the apostles and pput them in the public prison. 19But during the night qan angel of the Lord ropened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

40and swhen they had called in the apostles, tthey beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

Acts 6:12-15

12And they stirred up the people and the elders and the scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and brought him before the council, 13and they uset up false vwitnesses who said, “This man never ceases to speak words against wthis holy place and the law, 14for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth xwill destroy this place and will ychange zthe customs that Moses delivered to us.” 15And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face aawas like the face of an angel.

Acts 7:57-60

57But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together

at him.
58Then acthey cast him out of the city and adstoned him. And aethe witnesses laid down their garments afat the feet of a young man named Saul. 59And as they were stoning Stephen, aghe called out, “Lord Jesus, ahreceive my spirit.” 60And aifalling to his knees he cried out with a loud voice, ajLord, do not hold this sin against them.” And when he had said this, akhe fell asleep.

Acts 8:3

3But alSaul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he amdragged off men and women and committed them to prison.

Acts 9:4

4And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting anme?”
