John 16:2

2 aThey will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, bthe hour is coming when cwhoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.

Acts 22:22

Paul and the Roman Tribune

22Up to this word they listened to him. Then they raised their voices and said, d“Away with such a fellow from the earth! For ehe should not be allowed to live.”

Acts 26:9-10

9 fI myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of gJesus of Nazareth. 10 hAnd I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority ifrom the chief priests, but jwhen they were put to death I cast my vote against them.

2 Corinthians 11:23-33

23Are they kservants of Christ? lI am a better one—I am talking like a madmanwith far greater labors, mfar more imprisonments, nwith countless beatings, and ooften near death. 24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the pforty lashes less one. 25Three times I was qbeaten with rods. rOnce I was stoned. Three times I swas shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, tdanger from my own people, udanger from Gentiles, vdanger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 win toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, xin hunger and thirst, often without food,
Or  often in fasting
in cold and exposure.
28And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for zall the churches. 29 aaWho is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?

30 abIf I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness. 31 acThe God and Father of the Lord Jesus, adhe who is blessed forever, aeknows that I am not lying. 32At Damascus, the governor under King Aretas afwas guarding the city of Damascus in order to seize me, 33 agbut I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall and escaped his hands.
