John 16:23-24

23 ^aIn that day you will ^bask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, ^cwhatever you ask of the Father in my name, ^dhe will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. ^eAsk, and you will receive, ^fthat your joy may be full.

1 John 3:22

22 and ^gwhatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and ^hdo what pleases him.

1 John 5:14-15

14 And this is ⁱthe confidence that we have toward him, that ^jif we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
