John 17:1-5

The High Priestly Prayer

1When Jesus had spoken these words, ahe lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, bthe hour has come; cglorify your Son that the Son may dglorify you, 2since eyou have given him authority over all flesh, fto give eternal life to all gwhom you have given him. 3 hAnd this is eternal life, ithat they know you, jthe only ktrue God, and lJesus Christ whom you have sent. 4I mglorified you on earth, nhaving accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5And now, Father, oglorify me in your own presence with the glory pthat I had with you qbefore the world existed.

Philippians 2:2-11

2 rcomplete my joy by being sof the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3Do nothing from tselfish ambition or uconceit, but in vhumility count others more significant than yourselves. 4Let each of you wlook not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 xHave this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
Or which was also in Christ Jesus
6 zwho, though he was in aathe form of God, did not count equality with God aba thing to be grasped, 7but acemptied himself, by taking the form of a adservant,

afbeing born in the likeness of men.
8And being found in human form, he humbled himself by agbecoming obedient to the point of death, aheven death on a cross. 9 aiTherefore ajGod has akhighly exalted him and bestowed on him althe name that is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus amevery knee should bow, anin heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and aoevery tongue confess that Jesus Christ is apLord, to the glory of God the Father.
