John 19:6-7

6 When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, ^a“Take him yourselves and crucify him, for ^bI find no guilt in him.” 7 The Jews ^{▼▼Greek Ioudaioi probably refers here to Jewish religious leaders, and others under their influence, in that time; also verses 12, 14, 31, 38} answered him, “We have a law, and ^daccording to that law he ought to die because ^ehe has made himself the Son of God.”

Acts 25:18-20

18 When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I supposed. 19 Rather they ^fhad certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about ^ga certain Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive. 20 Being at a loss how to investigate these questions, I ^hasked whether he wanted to go to Jerusalem and be tried there regarding them.
