John 20:21-23

21Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you. As athe Father has sent me, beven so I am sending you.” 22And when he had said this, he cbreathed on them and said to them, dReceive the Holy Spirit. 23 eIf you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

2 Corinthians 13:3-10

3since you seek proof that Christ fis speaking in me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but gis powerful among you. 4For hhe was crucified in weakness, but ilives by the power of God. For jwe also are weak in him, but in dealing with you kwe will live with him by the power of God.

5Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. lTest yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that mJesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 6I hope you will find out that we have not failed the test. 7But we pray to God that you may not do wrongnot that we may appear to have met the test, but that you may do what is right, though we may seem to have failed. 8For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9For we are glad when nwe are weak and you are strong. Your orestoration is what we pray for. 10For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come pI may not have to be qsevere in my use of rthe authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.
