John 8:31-36

The Truth Will Set You Free

31So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, aIf you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32and you will bknow the truth, and the truth cwill set you free.” 33They answered him, d“We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”

34Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, eeveryone who practices sin is a slave
Greek bondservant; also verse 35
to sin.
35 gThe slave does not remain in the house forever; hthe son remains forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

John 15:14-15

James 2:8

8If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, q“You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

10For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point rhas become guilty of all of it.

James 2:12

12So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under sthe law of liberty.
