John 9:28-29

28And they reviled him, saying, “You are his disciple, but awe are disciples of Moses. 29We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, bwe do not know where he comes from.”

James 1:22-27

22But be cdoers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. 25But the one who looks into the perfect law, dthe law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, ehe will be blessed in his doing.

26If anyone thinks he is religious fand does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s greligion is worthless. 27Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: hto visit iorphans and widows in their affliction, and jto keep oneself kunstained from the world.

James 4:16-17

16As it is, you boast in your arrogance. lAll such boasting is evil. 17 mSo whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
