John 9:6-11

6Having said these things, ahe spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. bThen he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud 7and said to him, Go, wash in cthe pool of Siloam (which means Sent). So he went and washed and dcame back seeing.

8The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying, eIs this not the man who used to sit and beg?” 9Some said, “It is he.” Others said, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I am the man.” 10So they said to him, “Then how were your eyes opened?” 11He answered, f“The man called Jesus made mud and anointed my eyes and said to me, Go to Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed and received my sight.”

1 John 2:20-27

20But you have been ganointed by hthe Holy One, and iyou all have knowledge.
Some manuscripts you know everything
21I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22Who is the liar but khe who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is lthe antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 mNo one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24Let nwhat you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then oyou too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is the promise that he made to us

qeternal life.

26I write these things to you about rthose who are trying to deceive you. 27But sthe anointing that you received from him abides in you, and tyou have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and uis true, and is no liejust as it has taught you, abide in him.
