Jonah Flees the Presence of the Lord
1Now the word of the Lord came to aJonah the son of Amittai, saying,Matthew 12:39-40
39But he answered them, b“An evil and cadulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40For djust as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, eso will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.Matthew 16:4
