Joshua 1:1-2

God Commissions Joshua

1 After the death of Moses the ^aservant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ ^bassistant, 2 “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

Joshua 11:23

23 So Joshua took the whole land, ^caccording to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses. ^dAnd Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel ^eaccording to their tribal allotments. And the land had rest from war.

Hebrews 4:8

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God ^{▼▼Greek he} would not have spoken of another day later on.
