God Commissions Joshua
1After the death of Moses the aservant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ bassistant, 2“Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.Joshua 9:24
24They answered Joshua, “Because it was told to your servants for a certainty that the Lord your God had ccommanded his servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you—so dwe feared greatly for our lives because of you and did this thing.
