Joshua 10:24-25

24And when they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua summoned all the men of Israel and said to the chiefs of the men of war who had gone with him, “Come near; put your feet on the necks of these kings.” Then they came near and put their feet on their necks. 25And Joshua said to them, a“Do not be afraid or dismayed; be strong and courageous. bFor thus the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.”

1 Samuel 17:34-37

34But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. 36Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, cfor he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37And David said, d“The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, eand the Lord be with you!”

23My lips will shout for joy,

my soul also, which you have abredeemed.
24And my actongue will talk of your righteous help all the day long,
for they have been adput to shame and disappointed
who sought to do me hurt.
